Obama’s Final Speech
Wow. Where to even begin with this ship wreck of a speech. Today Obama gave a speech about terrorists and how they have not actually had a successful attack on American soil… Hmm, I, along with many others would beg to differ. Let’s see, there was the attack on Fort Hood, Texas where a Muslim man killed thirteen soldiers, and injured thirty one others, while screaming about Allah (11/05/2009). On November 9, 2011, three Jewish men were murdered by Muslim terrorists. In May of 2013, 264 innocent people were injured, and three killed in the Boston Marathon bombing. Muslims who described themselves as ‘very religious’ set off two bombs that had ball bearings attached to them. On July 15, 2015 there was a staged suicide attack by a ‘devout Muslim’. This happened in Chattanooga, Tennessee in a recruiting center at a mall. This attack left five people dead. The tragic San Bernardino, California attack (12/02/2015) a ‘very religious’ Muslim shot up a Christmas party along with his wife, this attack killed fourteen. More recently, in the summer of 2016, an Islamic extremist massacred 49 people at Pulse, a gay nightclub located in Orlando, Florida. A Somalian refugee rammed his car into a crowd of people, and then proceeded to knife eleven people, this was an Isis inspired attack. (http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/29/us/ohio-state-university-attack/)
So, for Obama to stand there and actually say these words “no foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland” is actually terrible. To have the commander and chief of the United States not even acknowledge that the above attacks were ALL terrorist attacks is something we should be concerned about.
Being as how Isis has claimed responsibility for these attacks, and the perpetrators pledged their support to Isis and Allah, it’s pretty safe to say these are terrorist attacks, they have been on American soil, and they were planned. The United States is facing its highest terrorist threat since September 11, 2001. For years Obama has been trying to make it appear as though Isis is not a threat to America at all. He has called Isis a “junior varsity basketball team”, and he has severely underestimated the power of Isis. He even admitted that areas of Syria and Iraq were a “ground zero for jihadists around the world.” (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/06/09/world/middleeast/obama-isis-strategy.html?_r=0)
It is unclear whether Obama really even sees Isis as a terrorist organization. He rarely calls their attacks a threat of terror, and he really does not see them as being a threat whatsoever. Sadly, he is very wrong. Isis is a terrorist organization, they have planned and carried out many successful attacks on the US, and they have proven they are not a “junior varsity basketball team.” What more does Obama need in order to for him to get it through his head that in the last eight years, Isis has become more and more powerful? They have one goal, kill the non believers.
