59th Annual Grammys-AKA Liberal Whine Fest
There’s this group of moron’s and apparently they call themselves “A Tribe Called Quest”? Okay, that implies you’re looking for something, are you on a quest to find your sanity? Orrrrrrr? So this squad of blockheads along with Busta Rhymes, sang a lovely song all about dissing our President. (Yes, he’s still your president) “I just want to thank President Agent Orange for perpetuating all of the evil that you’ve been perpetuating throughout the United States” President Orange, wow how clever. I find it funny when rap artists who sing about domestic violence, drugs, and a thousand other illegal things all day long feel it necessary to call someone else evil. Again, can someone give me a clue as to these “evil” things Trump has been doing? No matter how many times I ask, no one is able to give me an answer. Another un-entertaining lyric: “I want to thank President Agent Orange for your unsuccessful attempt of the Muslim ban. When we come together, we the people, we the people, we the people, we the people…” Haha, that’s cute that you said thank you, but I don’t see where Trump’s ban (which isn’t actually a ban, it’s a temporary halt.) was even a topic of discussion. The moron squad ended their performance with some scrawny looking dude named Q-Tip (really?) saying “Resist.” like four times. For the love of all things holy, sing your regular lyrics, accept your awards, and walk away.
Next we have cop-hating, culturally appropriating, Beyonce who of course used her platform to talk about politics. She talked about inner beauty and racial identity… haha wait was this before or after she went around announcing her hatred for law enforcement? It also sounded as though Beyonce was throwing shade towards Lady Gaga, by talking about how she wants her kids to be represented in pop culture like “the news, the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the White House and the Grammys.” Yikes, is Beyonce a little upset that Lady Gaga did exactly what she was supposed to do at the Super Bowl, we are so sorry not sorry that you’re bitter she didn’t politicize the super bowl.
Katy Perry also gave a totally non-political performance where she sang her new song, (which encourages violence [wait, aren’t they the tolerant left?]) while wearing a “PERSIST” armband. hmm, does that armband remind anyone else of the Nazi armbands worn during WWII? Katy Perry ended her song by saying “no hate”… right, okay.
(https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/12/arts/music/tribe-called-quest-beyonce-katy-perry-grammys-politics.html) Perry’s other accessories of the night included a lapel pin that was in support of Planned Parenthood. She fights for “women’s rights” (rights that all women in the US already have *eyeroll*) while wearing a white pantsuit (again, original) and a shirt that had her boobs pushed up to her neck… How classy.
To wrap up some other lame statements made during last night’s show, Jennifer Lopez said “At this particular point in history, our voices are needed more than ever.” (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/grammys-2017-7-political-moments-w466680) Right, use your voice for singing and not commenting on poltics while you sit on your throne in your frillion dollar mansion.
Lastly, the left is screaming racism and white supremacy because Adele won album of the year, instead of cop-hating, culturally appropriating, Beyonce. It’s obvious that the Grammys are just racist, or maybe they are anti-American… since you know, Adele is British. Must be that one. #GrammysSoWhite became a thing last night, nevermind that this awards show (like every award show) IS ABOUT TALENT, not race. Why is that such a difficult concept to understand? Beyonce didn’t lose because she’s black, Adele didn’t win because she’s white. Beyonce lost because her album was extremely political and talks about how much she hates law enforcement. Personally, I love Adele and am extremely happy she won, I’ve always been a big fan of her. She deserved the five Grammys she won last night, no one even comes close to the amount of talent Adele has. Beyonce has talent, yes, the girl can sing, but keep politics out of your songs.
On a lighter note, one of the bigger political statements came from singer Joy Villa. She walked the red carpet wearing a Make America Great Again, so of course the left freaked out. So while they are going insane, Joy Villa’s album sales went through the roof. Now of course Villa is getting death threats. (By the way- Villa is an African American, who is a Republican which is unacceptable in the eyes of the Left.) Totally okay for JLO to make a political statement, but it’s too much to handle when it comes from the Right. Chance the Rapper also gave glory to God in his acceptance speech, so that’s a nice thing to end on too.
